About Hang & Shine

Hang & Shine was started in 1993 by John Freeborough as an ultrasonic blind cleaning company. Based on customer requests he soon added blind sales and repairs to the services offered by Hang & Shine. The company is now able to take care of almost any window treatment need the customer may have.

John is a native of Pittsburgh and a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He and his wife, Barbara, live in Glenwood. John retired from Hang & Shine a few years ago and turned the business over to his son-in-law Robert Ridgeway.

Robert grew up in DeLand and he and his wife, Debbie, are both graduates of DeLand High School and Stetson University. They have three children, George, John, and Robert. George and John are enrolled in St. Peter’s Catholic School in DeLand.
